1. Agreement To These Terms
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of Chefs' Hub, including the website, web application, related browser or mobile experiences, integrations, APIs, support channels, exports, reports, AI-assisted features, and any other services that link to these Terms.
By creating an account, accepting an invitation, signing in, connecting an integration, using the service, or allowing users to use the service on behalf of an organization, you agree to these Terms. If you use Chefs' Hub for a company, restaurant, employer, venue, group, or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.
If you or your organization has a separate written agreement, order form, data processing agreement, subscription agreement, or enterprise contract with Chefs' Hub, that document controls where it conflicts with these Terms.
2. The Service
Chefs' Hub provides hospitality operations software for restaurant and food-business workflows, including recipes, menu costing, purchasing, inventory, production, wastage, finance, events, HR, attendance, rota, training, documents, team communications, analytics, integrations, and AI-assisted operational support.
The service may change over time. Chefs' Hub may add, modify, suspend, replace, limit, or discontinue features, integrations, modules, automations, or plans as the product, law, security needs, vendor availability, or business requirements change.
Chefs' Hub is a software platform. It helps organize workflows and information, but customers remain responsible for their restaurants, staff, suppliers, records, regulatory duties, food safety programs, tax and accounting decisions, employment decisions, and business operations.
3. Accounts, Roles, And Access
- Users must provide accurate account information and keep login credentials secure.
- Administrators are responsible for inviting the right users, assigning appropriate roles, reviewing permissions, removing former staff, and controlling restaurant, company, and module access.
- Customers are responsible for all activity under their tenant, restaurants, invited users, integrations, exports, and administrator-approved workflows, unless caused directly by Chefs' Hub breach of these Terms.
- Users must not share accounts, impersonate another person, bypass permission controls, or access restaurants, companies, records, or data they are not authorized to access.
- Chefs' Hub may suspend or restrict access if it reasonably believes an account is compromised, unauthorized, unlawful, harmful, unpaid, or in breach of these Terms.
4. Customer Data And Tenant Responsibilities
Customers, tenants, and users retain ownership of their lawful business content and operational data. Chefs' Hub receives a limited license to host, process, transmit, display, analyze, export, back up, and otherwise handle that data as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service.
Customers are responsible for the legality, accuracy, quality, permissions, notices, consents, retention decisions, and business use of data entered into Chefs' Hub.
Customers must not upload or process data in Chefs' Hub unless they have the rights, authority, and lawful basis to do so.
Customers are responsible for deciding which users may see recipes, costs, supplier records, HR records, attendance records, pay references, messages, exports, and audit trails. Chefs' Hub permission controls are tools for customers to configure; they do not replace customer governance.
Customers should keep their own backups or exports of critical records where required by law, audit policy, food safety programs, payroll obligations, tax obligations, or operational continuity plans.
5. Workforce, HR, Attendance, And Sensitive Records
Chefs' Hub includes features that may process employee, contractor, candidate, HR, attendance, leave, sick-leave, payroll, geofence, training, document, and workplace compliance data.
Customers are responsible for determining whether these features are lawful for their workplace, providing required notices to staff, obtaining required consents, configuring access controls, limiting sensitive records, and complying with employment, labor, tax, privacy, health, safety, and recordkeeping laws.
Users must not upload unnecessary medical, biometric, identity, payroll, immigration, disciplinary, or other sensitive records unless the customer has confirmed that the upload is lawful, necessary, and properly protected.
Chefs' Hub does not make employment, payroll, disciplinary, immigration, medical, legal, tax, or compliance decisions for customers. Platform records, alerts, exports, and insights must be reviewed by authorized customer personnel before action is taken.
6. Google And Third-Party Integrations
Chefs' Hub may allow users or administrators to connect third-party services such as Google, Google Workspace, POS systems, storage providers, email providers, messaging providers, mapping services, payment services, AI services, analytics tools, or other business systems.
Use of third-party integrations is also governed by the third party terms, policies, permissions, and availability. Chefs' Hub is not responsible for third-party services, outages, data changes, permission changes, pricing, security incidents, or policy requirements outside Chefs' Hub control.
When using Google APIs or Google Workspace data, users and customers must comply with applicable Google terms and policies. Chefs' Hub use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Customers and users are responsible for reviewing integration permissions before connecting a service and for revoking access when an integration is no longer needed, a user leaves, or a vendor relationship ends.
7. AI-Assisted Features
Chefs' Hub may provide AI-assisted features for transcription, recipe processing, document extraction, forecasting, analysis, summaries, suggestions, training content, communications, and operational support.
AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, biased, or unsuitable for a particular business, legal, safety, employment, tax, financial, or compliance purpose. Users and customers must review AI output before relying on it.
Chefs' Hub is not a lawyer, accountant, tax adviser, doctor, food safety authority, HR adviser, or financial adviser. AI-assisted output and platform analytics do not replace professional judgment, statutory checks, manager review, or specialist advice.
Customers must not use AI-assisted outputs as the sole basis for decisions that have legal, employment, payroll, disciplinary, health, safety, food safety, immigration, tax, financial, or similarly significant effects.
8. Acceptable Use
- Do not use Chefs' Hub for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, abusive, discriminatory, harassing, exploitative, or unsafe activity.
- Do not upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, scrape the service, overload systems, reverse engineer restricted code, bypass security controls, or interfere with the service.
- Do not use Chefs' Hub to violate privacy, employment, labor, health, safety, tax, intellectual property, competition, export, or other applicable laws.
- Do not use Chefs' Hub to create, store, or distribute illegal content, surveillance records outside lawful workplace use, unauthorized personal data, or material that infringes third-party rights.
- Do not misrepresent operational, financial, payroll, food safety, inventory, supplier, customer, or employee records.
- Do not use Chefs' Hub where prohibited by sanctions, export controls, anti-bribery laws, anti-corruption laws, or laws that restrict use by certain people, countries, organizations, or industries.
- Do not use Chefs' Hub as a high-risk system where failure could directly cause death, personal injury, emergency response failure, unlawful employment action, or regulatory non-compliance without independent human controls.
9. Subscriptions, Payment, And Taxes
Paid access, plan limits, billing periods, renewal terms, usage fees, cancellation terms, taxes, and payment methods may be described in an order form, invoice, subscription screen, payment provider flow, or separate agreement.
Unless a written agreement says otherwise, fees are non-refundable once a billing period begins, access may be limited for overdue amounts, and customers are responsible for applicable taxes, bank fees, and payment provider charges.
If a paid plan renews automatically, the renewal, cancellation, notice, and refund rules will be stated in the applicable order form, subscription page, payment flow, invoice, or written agreement.
10. Intellectual Property, Confidentiality, And Exports
Chefs' Hub and its licensors own the platform, software, designs, workflows, user interface, documentation, trademarks, product names, templates, system content, and other intellectual property in the service, excluding customer data.
Customers and users may use Chefs' Hub only as permitted by these Terms, the applicable plan, and any written agreement. No rights are granted except those expressly stated.
Users may gain access to confidential business, workforce, financial, recipe, supplier, customer, or operational records. Users must protect that information and use it only for authorized business purposes.
Exports, PDFs, spreadsheets, reports, notifications, emails, and downloaded files can contain sensitive information. Customers are responsible for deciding who may export, receive, store, forward, or rely on those records after they leave the platform.
11. Privacy And Data Protection
Chefs' Hub handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Notice and any applicable data processing agreement.
Customers are responsible for their own privacy notices, employee communications, consent flows, data subject request handling, retention policies, and compliance decisions for data they control inside the platform.
Where Chefs' Hub acts as a processor or service provider, Chefs' Hub will process customer-controlled personal information according to customer instructions, the applicable agreement, and applicable law. Where Chefs' Hub acts as an independent controller, Chefs' Hub will process information as described in the Privacy Notice.
12. Service Availability And Beta Features
Chefs' Hub aims to provide a reliable service, but it does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available access. Maintenance, updates, outages, vendor issues, network problems, security incidents, or force majeure events may affect availability.
Some features may be beta, experimental, preview, or under active development. Beta features may change, fail, produce inaccurate output, have limited support, or be discontinued.
Chefs' Hub is not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, including internet outages, hosting outages, vendor outages, power failures, labor disputes, government action, war, terrorism, natural disasters, epidemics, security attacks, or failures of customer systems or third-party systems.
13. Disclaimers And Liability
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. Chefs' Hub disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, accuracy, and error-free performance except where a written agreement states otherwise.
Chefs' Hub does not guarantee that inventory figures, recipe costs, payroll references, attendance records, AI output, forecasts, reports, exports, integrations, or recommendations will be accurate, complete, lawful, or suitable for a specific operational or compliance decision.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chefs' Hub will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or lost-profit damages; lost revenue; lost goodwill; business interruption; loss of data; replacement services; or decisions made from customer data, AI output, integrations, or exports.
Unless a written agreement says otherwise, Chefs' Hub total liability for all claims relating to the service will not exceed the amounts paid to Chefs' Hub for the affected service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or 100 USD if no fees were paid.
14. Indemnity, Suspension, And Termination
To the extent permitted by law, customers and users agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Chefs' Hub harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, penalties, costs, and expenses arising from their data, instructions, unlawful use, breach of these Terms, workplace decisions, third-party integrations, or violation of law or third-party rights.
Customers may stop using Chefs' Hub according to their subscription or written agreement. Chefs' Hub may suspend or terminate access if required by law, requested by the customer administrator, necessary for security, caused by non-payment, or related to breach of these Terms.
After termination, access to the service may end. Chefs' Hub may retain data as required for backups, legal obligations, dispute resolution, security, billing, audits, or as stated in the Privacy Notice or applicable agreement.
15. Changes, Governing Terms, And Contact
Chefs' Hub may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, Chefs' Hub will take reasonable steps to provide notice, such as in-product notice, email, account notice, or publication on this page. Continued use after changes take effect means the updated Terms apply.
The contracting entity, governing law, venue, notices, and dispute process may be stated in the applicable order form, subscription terms, invoice, enterprise agreement, or customer contract. If no separate written agreement identifies those details, the parties will use the laws and courts applicable to the Chefs' Hub contracting entity or operating company responsible for the customer relationship, subject to mandatory laws that cannot be waived.
For account, billing, support, security, privacy, or legal questions, contact Chefs' Hub at team@chefshub.cloud or through the support channel available in the app or the contact details provided in the applicable order form, invoice, subscription page, or support documentation.
